Alliance Girls alumni on Thursday staged demos outside the school over alleged sexual abuse incidents by a male teacher that have taken place for an unknown period. Citizen Digital reports
The teacher is accused of sexually grooming girls at the national school. He is said to have been engaged in affairs with the student. The affairs, according to an investigative article by Africa Uncensored, became intense after the students completed their secondary education
Parents Teachers Association chairman confirmed that they have constituted a committee comprised of officials from the Ministry of Education, KUPPET and alumni, which has commenced investigations into the sexual abuse. The committee will table a report by the end of next week.
Alumni advocate Zahra Nechesa said they will sue the school management for protecting the suspect since 2011, in protecting reputation of the school.

Kiambu County Director of Education Simon Wanjohi said the Ministry will take necessary actions and investigate the matter, where disciplinary action against the teacher will be applied.
