A video circulating online showing alleged bullying of younger students by older learners at Merishaw School has sparked public outrage and concern among parents. The boy has since been discharged from hospital and transferred from the school.
The video was reportedly captured on February 17, 2026, and the matter is still pending with police. The school in a statement never denied that the incident happened inside the shool but rather termed it as an ‘old video’

The incident has reignited conversations around student safety, bullying, and accountability in schools, with many calling for greater transparency and stronger preventive measures.
The viral clip appears to show a group of boys confronting and physically assaulting another student, sparking concern among parents and the public. So bad was the situation that the boy captured in the video was admitted to the hospital with sereve bruises .
Last year, Merishaw School was drawn into controversy after its teacher allegedly fled from the school following an examination irregularity. The institution, situated along the Isinya–Namanga Road.

It is alleged that the senior teacher was found projecting answers to candidates on a large television screen during the national examination. The incident caused panic within the school as invigilators and supervisors tried to restore order. Police officers are said to be pursuing the principal, who reportedly left the premises shortly after the act was discovered.
